I love the way Paul talks to Timothy:
" Herald and preach the
Word! Keep your sense of urgency [ stand by, be at hand and ready],
whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable].
[Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome
or unwelcome]…"
II Timothy 4:2 (Amplified)
I wonder if we really understand that most
of the world is bumping around in the dark, feeling and thinking
that they are sighted.
Do you understand that?
Does it matter to you?
What is it going to take?
What is the purpose of your every
day?
Is it to fulfill the things that
make you feel accomplished, or does your purpose line up with
His?
It only takes a few seconds for
this inventory. It is an act of the will. My will must line up
with His, so that every personal encounter is for the sake of
others, according to the scriptures. My time in private must
not be a retreat except as necessary, but rather it must be only
to prepare me for the next segment of time, during which I will
make sure my purpose lines up with His.
He doesn’t shoot at out feet,
but He does ask us to speak, touch, and love in His Name.
Pray first, then, get moving!!!
