Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Things are incredibly different than they were even fifty years ago.
Not only is the world smaller by way of technology, but the media has seeped into the minds of our youth, and things that were absolutely unthinkable even twenty or thirty years ago are common place today.
The real scarey thing is that at the same time the Bible says we must lead holy lives, the societal definition of holy has changed, even though God's standard has not.
The standard for holy is still "set apart", and we are blameless because of the Blood of Jesus, not because we were wiser than others and accepted His gift but because grace gave us the chance to accept His gift even though we were foolish dweebs.
Let's review. We were dead in our trespasses and sins. Someone told us about Jesus. We wanted it to be true, and we tried Him. Something happened. We did not do it ourselves, and furthermore, we cannot take it back, no matter how we have tried in times of rebellion.
He is real. He has saved us. There is nothing we ought to be concerned with except the prostrate pleading that He would change us into His likeness and use us for His service. He can do this any way He wants to. Right?
