Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

The depth of a Christian's commitment to the Lord is measured by many things.
One of the most telling scenarios is how a man treats those who are unlovely - the obnoxious, the smelly, the snotty, the deliberate trouble-maker.
Most of us were pretty sorry characters before we were saved, and for that matter, we are not exactly perfect now. We are Blood-bought, and we have sight. We are born into a royal race, and we have the precious Holy Spirit - but through no doing of our own.
Your behavior must reflect the One who lives in you, and not the weakness of the other person. When someone is unbelievably nurdy or nasty, there is no need to reflect that - it compounds the error and cripples the lost one even more.
No one owes you anything. You have no rights. That is one of the definitions of a living sacrifice.
So we are to behave like ambassadors of heaven, and there is penetrating supernatural love to be shown.
You are a worker. You have responsibilities. Don't leave all the work for someone else. Take the step, and then the One who is tenderly watching you will empower and love through you!
