Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Do not howl and fuss and carry on when it seems things are not going as they ought.
Depth comes only by digging, and the digging of the Holy Spirit is done in ways and through circumstances that cause discomfort to the flesh.
Do I seem to have a single theme? If so, I hope it is "trust and obey". When another believer suffers no accusation from the same thing I am going through, it doesn't mean that I have done it all wrong, or that God prefers my brother.
It simply means that The Lord is using what is at hand to do the thing needed.
If we examine the constant theme of the Bible, we are told to turn to Him in each moment to see and follow Him. The problem comes when we turn to Him to give us divine evaluation of these trying moments, and at that point, we are already out of focus.
The only thing that keeps us from a life of absolute faith is the quest for answers to questions that we have already been told we've no right to ask - why? when? where? with what result? how?
The definition of faith is - we move on God's say-so without these questions answered.
When you get to heaven you will see that some of your most miserable moments were really your greatest victories.
We only have a few days to spend. Let's spend them in obedience and then we can listen for those precious words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
