Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

The whole world is creaking and groaning, awaiting the coming events.

Can you see it?

When I was a child, no one could take a cell phone into a restaurant because if they existed, only the world's most wealthy had them. Things like VCR's and faxes were undeveloped and television was pretty scandalous among Christians because women were scantily clothed (nothing like today) and it brought the goals and purposes of the world into the home.

Today when those same programs are seen, they are baby powder compared to what is happening today.

The Bible has never changed and neither has the Lord. The believer on the other hand, is changing rapidly. Christian ministries certainly should be equipped, but we do not need lavish music productions, room sized screens, or cell phones in each hand.

While we must not become dinosaurs, hearts will still be won by the believer who is willing to let the Lord do things in his life that others will not allow. Hearts are won when the one struck by tragedy will not blame God or complain.

Hearts are won by the one who is willing to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Hearts have never been won by the latest and greatest, but they are won by Jesus, who gave His life as a ransom for many.

While we are learning new things and taking advantage of opportunities to reach the lost and needy, let us daily review that He speaks calmly and His message is always simple.
