Don't forget, there
is no satisfaction without Christ. The world system has been set up to explicitly deny man's need for a Savior, and Jesus warned us not to expect the world to accept us. As a matter of fact, He even said it would hate us. Why then, are so many believers today trying to win the approval of the unsaved world? At the same time, when the approval is not there, they feel scorned and misunderstood. Know why? Because they are scorned and misunderstood. Just like He was. the difference is, Jesus did not squawk and flap our of insecurity. Only those with Christ can find satisfaction, and of course we know that the satisfaction is found directly in Him. Those who are not satisfied, cannot behave like the redeemed, consequently, dissatisfaction always aims at a target. At the human level, dissatisfaction always has the greatest rub with satisfaction. See it, let it go, and love with abandon. I was desperately seeking satisfaction in advanced degrees and cool behavior but the Lord didn't count it against me. He loved me, and loved me, and loved me. Hallelujah! |
