What is money? Have you ever thought about this?
Everything physical is a picture of the unseen. So money represents something.
To many, money is the source of life. That is, it is the source of life until a loved one becomes ill or until there is a rejection from someone the person desired. Then, the source of life becomes the healing or the deflected rejection.
So, to most, money is a way to live. Have you ever thought about the charge that we should pray "give us this day our daily bread"? That means that even if we have jobs and rake in a good income, we may not escape from praying in our daily bread!
Christians suffer excruciating and unnecessary contortions because this is so seldom taught.
Each believer needs to know from the Lord to depend financially, and only the Holy spirit can teach this.
While children and foolish Christians need strict instruction in the spending and saving of money, there is NO financial security to be found in budgeting, saving, or investments. Perhaps these things can be exercises in wisdom, and the Bible does give relevant instructions.     But nowhere are we allowed to find financial security. Not now, and not in this life.
You must urgently be concerned with this matter.
Ask the Lord today - what does it mean to pray in your daily bread?
