Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Have you noticed that life is made up of tension and release?
Folks who don't have enough to do live through the situations in the lives of others and must augment everything by repetition and gossip.
The Bible teaches that the believer must go after those who are perishing and allow God to save them. That is enough tension and release for me. We must learn to walk by faith so that our lives are not segmented by lack, then provision. Out gracious and loving Lord has provided a way for us to live above worry, fear, and need for vindication.
Psalm 91 talks about the "secret place of the Most High. . ." Read the whole chapter. There is a place of fellowship and abandon that is so sheltered that the Christian sees what is going on, but has the sense of being an observer rather than a participator.
It is pretty clear in the Bible that money in the believer's life should not in any way be marked by tension and release. The things others think and say about us should not produce a tension that seeks release in short-cut resolution and defensive vindication.
I could go on and on - because the things that tend to dominate our lives are not the things that are on God's agenda.
We must be willing. We must be trainable. We must move forward - the talents may not be buried.
Lord, you know my natural tendencies. But I want you to have my life to use for others. So, please do whatever you must, or would like, in order to bring about your likeness in me.
