Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

There is such a thing as spiritual craftsmanship. It is what the believer is taught by the Holy Spirit in approaching God and in living.
In our time, we are in a hurry with everything, and even prayer is something usually entrunkated between other events.
But the Lord has always taught His people to listen for Him, to watch for Him, and to wait for Him, and these are the areas of craftsmanship disappearing today.
Today's Christian world thinks of Godly skills as writing, speaking and retaining knowledge, but God has never considered those the prize winning abilities because in His Kingdom, those are areas where the believer must be Spirit led and not experience and memory led.
Vigor in private prayer must be practiced - confession first, and then presenting clean hands to the Lord, as did the Psalmist.
Following the Lord is not squeezing one's life into a template - it is the opposite. The follower must be watchful and maintain a keen alertness for His presence.
There is much I do not understand. But in the Word, He says He wants me to recognize and follow.
And in order to do that, I must allow Him to teach me the beautiful, sweet, obedient skill of submission.
