- Jesus
didn't pass out flyers to the multitudes.
He didn't even have prepackaged
study programs on how to be like Him.
But what He did say was that anyone who wanted to be a disciple
could take up his cross daily and follow Him.
That is the thing that makes
us like Him.
He want to be sought and
followed.
There is no song that says:

- Onward
Christian soldiers,
As you were before,
- Things
should all be lovely:
- Hardship
do deplore.
- Start
collecting manuals
So you'll brilliant
be.
One in the same
program,
- So
the Cross you'll flee. . .
- Yet, that
is the way the flesh wants to live. The reason we love the real
song so much is because it calls us to battle, where the going
is not easy.
Our Lord is a Person who
calls us to listen to Him, look at Him, and go with Him. There
may be some situations in the world where sweet heavenly life
and a moving of Holy Spirit prayer can result from a packaged
Bible study
program.

have never seen it.
Our adults and our children
need to understand that the Bible is not hard, and it does not
have to be second hand all the time. Children do not have to
have Sunday School material pre-made in order to learn about
Jesus.
ResistChristian videos for
children. A praying Sunday School teacher who is willing to be
creative can be used to bring down the freshness of heaven.
We need to be with Jesus
and we must teach our children what it means to pick up the Cross
and follow Him.
