- The
authority of the Lord is only recognized by those looking for
it.
A rebellious person will
not be interested, and like salvation, authority must be
accepted by faith. Even the word or discipline of a head pastor
or husband is scorned by someone wanting to be his or her own
boss.
The obedient servant who is looking
and listening for the Lord does not need a perfect leader, but
can hear the leadership of the Lord through the mouth and decisions
of an imperfect human person who God ha allowed to be in a position
of authority.
Our children today have lost
the understanding that there is authority in the office, and
obedience is not to the person, but to the office.
God will settle the dust
and take care of the outcome.
