Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

As always, I am launching a campaign to encourage you to screen carefully what your children see on television.
The visual can circle right around the conscience and those impressions may never leave that little mind.
There are some disastrous commercials that no child should see - half naked bodies, sassy children rewarded and parents demonized, and unabashed appeal to the lust of the eyes - buy this, buy that.
Your children should not have a television in a bedroom where they watch unsupervised. If they do, take it out now and explain that you have not understood that there is a better way. Your children should not watch tv in your house without your awareness of each commercial and each part of each program.
Our children must be prepared to serve the Lord? How will that happen when we have a generation of "Christian" children who eat meal after meal in front of a television? How can they be soldiers of the Cross when their minds are under an intense brainwashing, whether you realize it or not?
How can a young child know the longing to have his flesh crucified when that flesh is being force-fed all time?
Do you understand that little boys should not be looking at sensuous women selling underwear? Do you understand that little girls should not either? It brings them both to a place of thinking which the enemy will fertilize each chance he gets.
This issue is critical, and it is out of hand with a run-away vengeance in the western church today. It is an emergency.
      The visual is incredibly powerful.
As time winds down, let us protect our children. Let us sing with them, and talk about the contrast between the things that God loves, and the things that the world promotes.
Spend yourself so that your children can see Jesus.
