Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Everyone has his own concept of what faith is.
Most people think it is a strong belief, and in most cases, a strong belief that a particular thing will happen.
But real faith is exercised when the believer is willing to step away from all "reliability" and yield to the Lord.
Many will trust God (they think) when they are pretty sure they know what will happen. Some will trust Him (they think) when they have no idea what will happen.
But when a Christian is willing to move because He understands that God does things in different ways, and that believer is willing to give up all control, then and only then, is he empowered to follow the Lord into the situation when he can see that humanly the result is failure or disaster.
That kind of faith is rare.

There is a frontier that few have touched, because it is scary to the flesh. It is the frontier of faith, and it is the only place where God is seen in fullness.
The glory there marinates the sojourner, and the vision of heaven flashes from the eyes, while the Word in power emanates from the mouth of the traveler.
I want to pay the price - whatever it costs. The Bible says it costs all that I am and all that I have - yielded in faith.
When it comes to the faith frontier, there is no draft - it is for enlisted volunteers only!
