Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

I am absolutely convinced that satan is so successful in frightening believers today, that many things don't get done.
     What do I mean?
Any time deliverance is involved, the believer will see some mighty strange things. He must be willing to ride out the storm and let the Lord calm the wind and the waves.
Today's Christian usually quits when he realizes he cannot calm the storm himself, and he feels that he must either dive for shelter, or outrun the wind.
The enemy specializes in doing things that seem totally normal, but when it comes to strongholds being torn down, look out!
     Can you take it?
Are you willing to step away from convention and let the Lord have some room? Be careful to avoid a glib answer, because when real deliverance is the case, it takes supernatural patience and a determination to wait it out even if you have a target painted on yourself.
Where there are those who will trust God and stand firm, strongholds of the enemy are torn down and there is much glory. There is a radiance that you do not see in other contexts, and those folks can sing about some things you would not understand, even if they gave you details.
In heaven, all those times will seem small compared to the brilliance of His glorified presence. But here, those times seem weird, and people do not like to be involved - it is too costly.
      Wasn't Jericho weird?
      Wasn't Goliath weird?
     Wasn't the Red Sea weird?
      Wasn't the Crucifixion weird?
