Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

The believer cannot be led of the Spirit when there is deliberate, unconfessed sin, and that includes rudeness.
One of the most common sin problems in the Church is rudeness in the home. There is rampant disobedience on the part of husbands and wives, who speak to each other in ways they would agree are ungodly.
If in reality one values kindness, it will be seen in the home, even when things are thorny and must be ironed out.
Much too often, wives are out of line in speaking hotly and rebelliously to their husbands, and men are quick to fire off nasty barbs, because they are easily angered.
If we take God at His Word, our words and our attitudes are the components that rule all relationships, including the one with the Lord.
If I am to obey God, I must rule my tongue, and lead every thought away captive.
And if I do not do that, I am in sin.
We wonder so often why we do not see more answered prayer and why we cannot seem to sense the leading of the Lord.
It is time to begin a pattern of outloud repentance for sin - a habit of allowing the Lord to clean up the dirt piles in our lives that seem to be blocking out the Light.
