You will never outgrow being hurt.
It is easy to think that there is some level of spiritual maturity that can be reached, at which point one becomes impenetrable to the fiery darts that come through others. But it is not so.
I was taught early on in my Christian life that the ones that you have helped the most will usually hurt you the most. That is the way it is. It is not going to change, and you do not have scriptural permission to consider it for the purpose of feeling sorry for yourself. Rather, you must demonstrate supernatural grace, and that by faith.
     No exceptions.
Hurt is just that - and it feels as though you will not recover. But your recovery is not the issue. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is the issue, and it is something that is deliberately done, not passively endured.
From the Cross, Jesus forgave. He attended to those around, and He yielded His spirit. Talk about hurt!
He came so that we could see and know that the same power is available to us.
Grace against the backdrop of unfairness and attack is a demonstration of the presence of Jesus
You are only available to this freedom when it is attractive and desirable to you to minister in the most difficult times. It is the call of God to live this way, but few are willing.
It is the way to resurrection power!
