Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Isn't it interesting that God does not sleep or become exhausted?
We know in heaven there will be no sickness. God's physical economy is totally different than ours.
Perhaps that is why the believer can often go even when he is quite ill, and he can find himself to be just fine when he gets there. In some areas, the unsaved do not have the privilege of choice that Christians have. For example, when the unsaved are sick, they are sick. But often a believer can go by faith where he is needed because he has the sight to consider that the enemy might be trying something on him. He also has the power to get up and go.
     Why is that?
Because he Lord designed us for heavenly living, but with physical restrictions.
They are not all bad, and His sovereignty is often worked out and revealed through these very limitations.
The point is, we must not live like those who have no sight or power.
Satan often deceives us into thinking we are too sick or tired to do things, particularly things that have to do with the body of Christ
Does this mean we should never be sick?
No, and preachers who say a Christian should never be sick are not "rightly dividing the Word of Truth."
But there certainly are times when we must move and go even when we can't.
It is the duty and pleasure of the Christian soldier to move by faith and to know that even physically, the gravitational pull of this life does not have to rule!
     We stretch, and with eagerness!
