. The agenda
of heaven only takes place on earth because of prayer. It is easy to see ourselves as being as insignificant as we feel. But the fact is, God's Word tells us that the Lord waits for the prayers of His people to release His plan. It isn't a matter of power, it is a matter of obedience, and discipline. Why is it so hard for Christians to pray? Why are some so resistant to both private and corporate prayer? Because the flesh and the enemy have an all out resistance to prayer. Prayer means the death of all that is not eternal, and it makes a place for the glory of the Lord. Did you go to the Sunday meeting last week without prayer? Amazing! I know you did. How do I know? Because almost no one in the world prays before the assembly of the brethren. But if believers took seriously the assignment of prayer, they would realize that there is a place made for the Holy Spirit when prayer precedes preaching. Do you want to actually see the resurrection of the Lord? See it by faith today in prayer - see the Body of Christ arise and go forth - but only in prayer. |
