Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

What single thing have you prayed about the most since you've been saved?
That, of course, is the thing that you can see the most clearly. I think I have probably prayed the most about being able to see and recognize Jesus. I have pled desperately for years to have the Holy Spirit open up the Word of God to me, and I have begged and begged that the Lord would heal and build soldiers out of the women in our local church.
I have grandchildren that I can see will have challenges in teen years and I have begun earnest pleas on their behalf, and I have close family involved in the work of the Lord in such a way that there must be almost hourly support for them in prayer.
But you see, none of this guarantees control or satisfaction by sight.
Yes, I do see many and sweet answers to prayer. But I must pray by faith. I must assume that the Lord will do the best thing, and of course, I do not always know what that is. As a matter of fact, I seldom know what that is, but I must rely on the Spirit to lead in ways that I may not even recognize.
Time is short and we will find in eternity that our prayer time will have been the most valuable moments in human history.

Lord, even after all these years, please teach me to pray. I realize I know so little, and desperately ask that you use these faculties to bring about your will.
