Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

      Vigor comes from vision.
When the chips are down and all seems to be swirling down the drain, the Soldier of the Cross who has been drinking from the Word is able to see the need.
The ability to see the need is supernatural. Even in the home, one can't see the need of the other unless the Lord allows it. It will seem that the mate or relative is difficult and poisonous, but there will be no more than human perspective unless the Lord is allowed by prayer to reveal what is really going on.
We were created to be secure, and to fall into the Everlasting Arms in the same way that a baby eagle does when learning to fly. We are pushed out of the nest of security into the turbulent air streams, and when the little wings don't do the job, we learn that the Everlasting Arms are there to catch us. And hold us. And carry us to a safer place.
When a Soldier is willing to be shown the need of another, and he has learned the Lord is always there with support, he is able to turn and say with all his being, "I will be a living sacrifice."
Then there is opportunity to minister life, and supernatural energy and endurance will come from spiritual vision.
     There is no short cut
