Aren't you grateful
the Lord is patient with us? When I am trying to learn something, an impatient person brings a crippling shrivel to my learning place. What beautiful words we have in the word concerning the things that bring about patience. They are, of course, those things that naturally bring out all the impatient tones, looks and words But His goal for us is Love. And according to His Word, there can be no endurance, depth of character, or even brotherly love until we have been tried. Listen: We must decide these tests are desirable. If the Bible says I can't be a Soldier without them, I must want them. I must pray for sight. I must yield. How can I pray for power with God if I am hopping up and down on the inside all the time? Godly patience is not a human quality and can't be feigned. An exploding point is just around the corner for the one attempting it on his own. But the One who hung the stars in place has never been frustrated or impatient. He wants to produce His own Life in me, and I must embrace that work! |
