Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Have you or have you not decided to live your life as a Soldier of the Cross?
Then you'd better look up and move on!
Many things will come in your way as distractions and the real problem is, they are actually happening. But the Bible teaches they do not necessarily need to be addressed. Rather, they should be committed in prayer and then the Soldier must set about to do the Next Thing as best he can, and with as much concentration and love as he is allowed.
The next thing may be dishes, it may be answering the phone, it may be dealing with the Downs Syndrome child, but His Grace is sufficient, and He said so!
     That makes it true.
Even in the death of a child (which I think is the most difficult thing a human can experience) the Next Thing must be done in integrity and in faith.
     Move on, Soldier.
Time is short, and the Lover of Your Soul has designed each big and little thing for your good. He understands your heartache and sorrow, but self-pity and lethargy are not allowed.
He said His Grace is sufficient, and as soon as you move on, you will taste the fruit of His promise!
