There is no
limit to the Grace of God. It is just as easy for the Lord to forgive a mass murderer as it is to forgive a great person who has just never come to Him before. The issue is availability. In the same vein, it it not easier for Him to make a Soldier of an educated intellectual than a retarded person because those who have much to offer humanly must make sure they do not consider themselves more equipped to serve God. I must come to the Lord with empty and clean hands, a heart that is fresh in the Word and a mind that is disciplined. I must do as He says and take up the Cross daily - the giving up of all that seems valuable to me, and the taking up of all that is valuable to Him. No soldier of the Cross has ever been disappointed in Him! |
