Over and over,
I must affirm the sovereignty of God in my own life. By that, I mean that I must acknowledge that He is in charge and that there are no variables. That is actual truth! As believers, we must live according to the truth. When the car won't start, is God not in control? Or would we be more inclined to trust Him if He did things in the way we want, and according to our chosen time table! He can be trusted all the time. He doesn't have to seem trustworthy at the time - the fact that He is, is enough. At least it ought to be. I am resolved - resolved that God is Who He says He is, and more than anything, I want to know Him intimately. That means that I must eagerly receive it when He shows me I throw up barriers to His leading and His affirmative ministry of Grace. I do not have the capacity to think the way He does, and that is why I must take Him at His Word, and move straight forward in a straight line - by faith! |
