Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

We must learn to be craftsmen of the Cross!
In a world of finishing early and shunning thoroughness, we who have the indwelling, shepherding, and mighty Lord, must submit ourselves to allow His craftsmanship to be replicated in us. He who is Wisdom, and He who "sustains the universe by his mighty word of Power" will, if allowed, train us in the Holy Spirit to take up the Cross daily in the same manner He intended when He said it!
When I correct my students, almost always they will explain why they made the mistake, or why they failed to see the thing obvious to me, but not to them. Telling me the "reason" is the first agenda, and after that, they will listen to the better way.
I have never seen a student who could resist some excuse.
We who have been born into the Kingdom of Light must operate according to the eternal principles that sustain all things. We must understand that in the taking up of the Cross daily, there is infinite release, there is the death of the flesh, and there can be no fellowshipwith Him without it!
After all, didn't He say "If you want to be my disciple. . ."?
Saul had an excuse for everything.
Learn to stop. It doesn't get us any farther than it did Saul.
I want to learn it His way - obey His way, and get on with the business of eternity!
