Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

       Don't get too settled.
By that I mean, don't put down roots in places that will burn at the end of time!  My job I must do as unto the Lord, but it can't be my identity.
My home must reflect a woman who loves God and is orderly, but it can't be my identity.
I am not allowed to settle down and have a smooth life - neither are you.
But you are intended to learn to lean on the Everlasting Arms. You are to learn that you are not the lifter of your own head - He is!
You must be about your Father's business, and you may not have your deepest cares in anything else - even your own family.
Letting go of this life in order to gleefully operate as sojourners and pilgrims is a supernatural process. It comes over time because of prayer and pursuing the things that are the most important.
What are the most important things to you? I hope you love and are devoted to your family. But if they are the most important thing, you need to be changed!
Is Christian service more important that the Lord to you?
Are you insecure when someone else knows more detail facts about biblical things?
Do you tremble when the stock market goes up and down?
      Is your independence most important?
We need those who want more than anything to be Soldiers of the Cross, and are willing to do whatever He wants to transform them.
We need believers like those of old in Hebrews 11.
We need Christians who have learned that more than anything, they need Jesus.
