Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Take a moment to evaluate your interest in the presence of the Lord.
Is He the most interesting presence of any, in your life? Or are there others you would rather be with?
When you love the Lord's presence, you will seek out those who love Him and have decided all of life's moments must be spent in loving service as He designs.  Loving His presence does not mean spending time in a cave alone, trying desperately to get the "feeling" of His presence.
That is because He is a person and not a feeling.
And when He came to earth as a babe, He came as a person, and He still does. He loves, speaks, and leads through people.
Of course the Word lights our path, not human advice. And no matter how others behave, we must be filled with and led by the Spirit.
But, if you want the Lord at all, you are attracted to His people. Moreover, those who are attracted to His people burn with the longing to see the lost come to Christ.
I would swim the ocean to spend a few hours with a real Soldier of the Cross. The Soldier is filled with the Holy Spirit, and even when that Soldier feels like a steam-rolled worm, he still has eyes that burn with love and sings at the top of his lungs.
There is nothing - nothing that can compare with being with Jesus.
