Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

There really is a "Song of the Soul Set Free", just like the John W. Peterson song says.
Both bondage and freedom let themselves be known, but remember, all those who are without Christ are in bondage and those under the power of the enemy are not often not able to see there is any problem at all!
So, sometimes one imprisoned in sin and blindness finds the sound and wake of the free Soldier of the Cross pretty obnoxious.
Much of the time when we accused of being obnoxious, it is because we have been! But the freer you are and the more filled with the Holy Spirit you are and the more clearly you see Jesus, the more irritating you are to the shackled one.
It isn't easy or pleasant, but it's true. So that means we have an added opportunity to minister grace in many situations.
One of the most difficult situations is a "personality clash" in the church.
Can you find "personality clash" in the Bible? No! There is a pretty significant clash between heaven and hell, and that is usually the problem when it arises in the church. As a matter of fact, I will simply say it is always a matter of sin. Someone is jealous, or highly annoyed, and he won't stop to think he is already at fault for finding fault with you!
How does the Word of God treat this common problem?
He was crucified because He annoyed the pharisees. they were threatened and jealous. What makes you think that if you are filled with Him, the pharisees around you will thing you're great?
     Wrong!

It won't change in this life. So, determine to put up the periscope and see what is really going on. We get on our knees, seek to be humbled in prayer and submit to the changes it will take to win those who need grace so badly.
