Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

The Bible says that no one who has trusted the Lord has ever been disappointed.
There surely are many disappointed believers, so the obvious conclusion is that they have not trusted the Lord.
The flesh just will not wait - and if it has its way, it will keep on the move all the time. It will wait for no one, and it will do all it can to be in control. The Spirit on the other hand, empowers the Soldier of the Cross to wait.
We must learn to wait until the deadline has passed. Sometimes we must wait until we look like fools. We have terms that describe early and late, but those are not terms of eternity. Our mighty Lord holds time in His nail-scarred hand, and nothing can interfere with His plan.
Does it look like time is slipping away and the Lord has not heard? The truth is, He already told us in His Word that He has heard! It's just that we want to have it over with.
The Lazarus story isn't weird - it is normal for the Lord. If things were done on time humanly, there would be no glory, and none of us would see the Lord.
All the unfolding of the plan of God has been according to the divine time table, and your situation is no different!
