God shows Himself
faithful to those who expect, look for, and wait for Him. It certainly is true that grace has been shown to all of us. God showers blessing all around, and as the scripture says, the sun shines on the just and the unjust - the rain falls on the just and the unjust. We have been sustained and carried along by the Everlasting Arms, even at times when we never thought about Him. But there is yet another dimension of sweet Sabbath Rest peace that awaits the Christian who will unfailingly acknowledge that He has heard, He is coming, and He will deliver! The scripture makes it clear that the Lord delights in those who prefer to cling to Him, over trying to solve things themselves. The flesh is chronically at war with the Spirit, but no believer needs to live in constant conflict! We don't wait for the victory, we don't plead for the victory, we don't try to improve so we can have the victory - the victory has been won! And when He is ready, and at the finest time and by prayer, He will let it be seen! |
