When you
first came to Christ, He took you just as you were. But, isn't it interesting that now that you have been a Christian a while, you somehow think you must be all collected and in order, before you can let Him be your Lord! If you could do all that, you wouldn't need a Lord! But you do, and you can't live out the Christian life without coming to Him over and over and over, and always in a condition of need. How important this is for the Soldier of the Cross to realize. Yes, the will is an area that must be aligned with Him, but we must run to Him all the time. There will never be a point in time when we can take care of our sin or apathy, then turn and do business with God. Forgiveness and zeal are found in the same place - before the Throne. |
