Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Self-examination is foolish, addictive, and unscriptural.
Yet, so many have a problem in this area.
The Bible tells me that I am not qualified to assess myself, and what's more, the Lord will show me whatever He needs show me through His Word. Even then, the Holy Spirit will show me using the Word, and He will usually do it as I pray.
There isn't time to splash around in the mud of self-examination - it is a process with an efficiency similar to swimming in peanut butter, and I will waste time going nowhere and end up exhausted.
How can I possibly minister His Life to others if my nose is jammed in my naval?
A Brother said to me recently "I'd love to talk to Him face to face, so I could find out how I'm doing."
He was a fairly new Christian, but I still couldn't let it pass.
Listen - the things that are really wrong with us must be loosened and revealed by the Holy Spirit. The conscience gets calloused to those things, and we are not sensitive enough to be concerned about them.
Most of the things we waste time worrying about are whisperings of the enemy, and after all, isn't worry a sin?
      There is a lost world.
We are covered by the Blood.
He has said He would chasten us.
      There is work to do.
Don't look down, and don't look back!
