Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

He didn't say we would be comfortable, but He did say He would supply our needs.
He and He alone knows what our needs are. There are some specific statements, such as "I have never seen the children of the righteous begging for bread." Also, we know that we are not to make our own decisions about our needs for tomorrow.
Yet it seems almost impossible to resist the voices that pound on the Soldier of the Cross to take up distraction and consider things that have not happened and to choose human solutions for things He has said He would attend to.
We were not designed to take up these things. We were designed to take up the Cross. That is why there is much peace for the obedient one who goes to Him and tells Him again and again that he will lean on Him and Him alone.
We were told not to consider these things because they are too heavy for us to bear. If we try to take care of tomorrow, aren't we joining the rich man who lived as though there were no more than this life?
The Bible is either true or it is not.
I have met the Savior. I have found Him to be trustworthy.
     No looking back.
     No regrets.
