We are pilgrims
and that means we have a purpose. We are en route from one place to another and we are leading lives of those who journey. Do those who know and watch you see clearly that you are journeying from this world to heaven? Is it clear what your priorities are? To be really free, the Soldier of the Cross must live with his heavenly bags packed and must not be entangled in the affairs of the world. He doesn't live in a cave, but all can see his priorities are those of the One he serves. Believers today are often depressed and most of the time it is because they have no real purpose. They live like the rest of the world, but under the law and with more guilt. I am a pilgrim! I will live like a pilgrim. I will talk like a pilgrim. I will look like a pilgrim. A rolling pilgrim gathers no world! |
