Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

       We are real family.
The physical family is a picture of something now unseen by the physical eye, but taught in the Word of God and experienced by God's children.
We are to love one another, take care of one another, and we are to honor each other more than ourselves.
That can only be supernatural because there is no bond of commonness,. human blood, or obligation. But we are all bought with a price, and that price is what binds us together - the Blood of Jesus. It is more real than any blood that can be seen now.
Sentimentality presses the human family together, and, of course there is human love. But that love is qualified and quickly runs out when the other causes injury or ongoing heartache or other damage. And of course, if there is just plain meanness and abuse, human love goes away.
But in the Family of God, those things are not the case when the Holy Spirit is allowed to move us on and we walk in the Light! It is the heart of God to have us walk in fellowship with one another and not to isolate.
     We press on.
Other Soldiers need encouragement. They need support and they need physical sustenance.
To seek first the Kingdom of God, we serve one another. No one has energy for evangelism until he has learned to love the brethren.
Usually there is less grace extended by Christians that by the unsaved. But oh my! when thee is a soldier who is really filled and ministers God's Grace, the recipient is never the same.
He has been loved, and loved by Jesus.
