Speculation
is fruitless for the Soldier of the Cross! And, dare I say, it is even stupid. We have the things we need to know, and they are given to us supernaturally in God's Word. It is the flesh that wants to guess - out of insecurity and a need to be in control. All I must know, the Holy Spirit will reveal to me. he will say it loudly through the Word of God or He will show me by pulling back the veil and letting me see the things that can be hidden when there is no prayer. But of all the most destructive things I can do, speculation is at the top of the list. I am a Soldier of the Cross and I move forward not because I agree with what I see, but because He has said. I do not have the capacity to evaluate the circumstances. that is why the scriptures say: "The just shall live by faith". |
