He is faithful
not to our purposes, but to His. That means He will do what is best for us rather than the thing we think is best. It is a tough one to swallow, but according to the Bible the very things that satan has intended for evil over the millennia, God has used and turned into the absolute best for His saints. That includes death of loved ones, illness and persecution. It includes false accusation and great suffering. But He has never sent anyone through anything - He has always brought them through. What's more, anytime He has a treasure for the Soldier of the Cross in the form of suffering, He gives that Soldier grace not only to endure, but to experience his Glory. We don't need to understand. We only need to obey. |
