Prayer for America

| Lord,
on this our National Day of Prayer, I want to thank you for loving us enough
to allow us to go through things that break us. My heart is so grateful today for believing men who are leading our nation during this crisis. Please sustain our President and grant his pleas for sight and for the guidance to be used of you to in brandishing the punishing sword of Divine justice. Thank you for putting a man in the White House who applies salve to a wounded nation by quoting the twenty-third Psalm. Thank you for the many testimonies of the departed saints offered to us by the families that remain behind. Thank you for reminding us that we need You. Thank you for your sovereignty. And oh Lord, on this day which will be remembered as long as you tarry and beyond, make Yourself known to the millions who are grieving. How we clutch the precious truth that You are sovereign, and a God of mercy and loving kindness. Lord, even as the smoke clears and the dust settles by the yard in thickness, we have nowhere to go but to You. Thank you for being our Sovereign King and Master. |
