Power does not come from
control, power, even in prayer, comes to the one who is yielded. Over and over we must remember this basis principle. Our needs cannot be defined by the longings of the flesh, and the Word of God tells us we must learn to walk in obedience and our need to lean on Him must increase. Without Christ, skills are learned and that learning combines with experience to be the test for reliability and confidence. But we who are in Christ realize that we must grow in dependence. We may not take skills for granted, and particularly, we may not take experience for granted. Experience should never set a standard in Christian work. We don't gain power - we lean on His! |
