Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

It is good for the believer to review the purpose of his life.
When we met Christ, everything changed. That is, it could have and should have changed.
Our relationships become opportunities for ministry instead of just enjoyment or insulation. Our jobs are appointments to live before others and work as unto Him instead of earning money, because we know that He is the source of provision rather than our own ability to work.
The family becomes a testing ground for obedience, grace and prayer instead of comfort or contention.
Ambition dissolves because earthly position and achievement pale compared to the treasures that can be laid up in heaven.
Yet, there are many hurting Christians and many have lost hope because of circumstances that seem overwhelming, or often what is worse, depression and despair for no apparent reason.
We can take heart! He is never far, and is always eagerly waiting to lift up and encourage the waning one.
I have often asked the Lord for encouragement. The things that can be seen and felt seem so real, when in fact the things that are eternal can quickly seem remote.
At those times, I stand before the Lord and claim again the privilege of following Him.
He has never stalled or foiled the Soldier of the Cross who has gone after Him. Young or old, whole or ill, He has always led and moved forward those willing to worship Him and those willing to yield their lives to revealing Him.
There is no activity sweeter than loving the Body of Christ. There is no pleasure more intense than the connection of two Holy Spirit filled Christians.
There is no activity more valuable than encouraging a Brother or leading someone to Christ.
There is absolutely, positively no thrill like the thrill of serving Jesus!
