Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Have you noticed that the Lord constantly surprises us?
What is a surprise? It is something unexpected and until the happening, our concept was different than the actual event.
The stunning, infinite depth of our amazing God is so beyond comprehension that the greatest poets and songsters have not extinguished the need for its expression. Just when we think we have Him figured out and know what He will do and how He will (or ought to) do it, He expands the situation and expresses Himself in a creative way that brings a waterfall of freshness.
The clay can't figure out the Potter because he is only clay. But the Potter is creating with the clay. And in our case, He creates for us, and through us.
The mind can not grapple with the stunning fact that the One Who created all we see and all we don't see, loves us. He loves us enough to woo us because He longs to share this wonderful dimension of Newness with us for eternity.
The precious turns and remarkable answers to prayer mean a great deal to us even now, but heaven will be an eternal marvel of, among other things, the never ending newness of His Life.
