The Lord wants
us to learn how to live. That is why we have the indwelling Holy Spirit. Yes, He reveals Jesus, but He is also the Comforter, the Along-side One, and has other moment by moment influences in our lives. Think about it. The Bible is about our behavior. That includes thoughts, reactions, and the spending of time according to the will of God as He reveals it in the ripeness of our need. We prepare ourselves for heaven by obeying. We win others by obeying - by living prayerfully before others and revealing His Love. We yield to transformation by obeying. We get to recognize Him and know Him by obeying. There must be a vision for the loveliness and necessity of obedience. The Soldier of the Cross must long to be taught to obey without question. We are instructed and empowered. The lost have no choice, but we who are His have choice every second. There is infinite instruction in God's Word, the Price has been paid, and we have the Holy Spirit of God within. We have more than just what we need - we have all there is! |
