Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

We have an Anchor that keeps the soul
Steadfast and secure, while the billows roll. . .

Oh, Soldier, the One Who died for us had given us power to endure and power to live in victory over sin.
What kind of sin am I talking about? Doubt. Thoughts that crawl in the dust and become encrusted with self-pity.
At those times, you are not insane.
You have an enemy whose delight it is to send a distracting storm your way. But you must learn to pull down your sail. When the enemy sends a storm, your Anchor - the One who so tenderly attends to all details - will keep your ship from breaking up.
     We have an Anchor.
And He will not fail us.
We are fastened to the Rock that will not move.
The soul is the place that experiences the storm. The thoughts come in and they pound. Winds are high and the waves promise to overturn us.
But, unlike earthly rocks that can break up and move, the Rock of Ages will not move! And our anchor is hooked into Him.
Soldier, look up and move on!
