Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

We always need to be reminded that love is the evidence of being filled with the Spirit.
In an era when church activities take place with the same slickness and business agenda as the rest of the world, supernatural love is the mark that sets the Soldier apart from all others.
That love can only come from a longing for Him, and the quest for fellowship with Him. It comes as a result of obedience.
     No obedience, no love.
If a believer says he wants the Lord, he is only stating the truth if there is the evidence of obedience to follow up the statement. He will want to do anything to press into the delights of His presence and the fellowship of the saints.
And then, he will begin to love. It starts simply as consistent behavior that conforms to the Word.
As consistency builds habit, there is deep healing.
As there is healing, there is sight and the Soldier begins to see things as God sees them.
There is freedom from the control of fallen emotions, and supernatural love replaces old-nature feelings.
It doesn't have to be drummed up or chanted about to be experienced because the Soldier is just tapping into the Flow - and there really is a Flow.
That is why the verse says "and out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. . ."
