In the tongue is the power of life and death.
Every word is critical. Every complaint must go.  Every pointing out of a flaw of another just because we see it - this to must go.
Brothers and sisters, our homes must be places where the supernatural power of God's creativity is made manifest through the use of our tongues. It is too easy to fall into the habit of idly translating thoughts into words.
First, the thoughts must be run through a screening system that evaluates whether or not they are in agreement with God. Then and only then may they be expressed.
This means that, because we have an enemy who delights in shooting ungodly thoughts into the pathway of our minds, we must second guess each word. Most Christians have not begun to do this, and even though it is clearly commanded in the scriptures, it seems too hard and unrealistic.
Well, it is a matter of Life, or death.
The lack of attention to this leaves the believer to marinate in a slimy sea of persuasive thought without sight - truly an atmosphere of spiritual death.
But the Soldier who obeys and understands the importance of each uttered word learns to create life with his tongue, and ministers the thoughts and attitudes of heaven.

Lord, teach me to speak. when I stand before you, I want to know that you were able to use my mouth, and that no purposes contrary to yours were expressed.
Please take my tongue and express your own Life to others. Do whatever needs to be done in me to teach me to be led of the Spirit at all times in speech.
