Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Can the Lord really have your life?
Or is there a little place held back? If there is, you already know about it.
The Soldier of the Cross must tell the Lord on a regular basis that He may do anything with his life. The reason for this is that it is a formal time of defined yielding to the Lord and reestablishes the reason for living and reaffirms a determination to leave all behind and follow Him.
When I have talked about this in conferences or in one-on-one encounters, folks get uncomfortable. For the longest time, I could not figure out why, but now I know it is because they don't trust the Lord.
Christians often forget the promise verses and decide that God is looking for a willing victim who will lay down in the dust and allow himself to be steam rolled over and over.
But, after all, He has given His Word. He who gave His own Son . . ."will not withhold from you any good thing. . ." and it happens to be true.
The fact is, most Christians are absolutely not willing to let the Lord take them all the way because they have pre-set limits.
Brothers and Sisters, let's put our money where our mouth is! IF we believe Him at all, then He can be trusted, and there is no other way to live.
Am I willing to loose family and physical possessions and health and reputation?
If not, He said I am not worthy of Him and I cannot be a disciple.
Consider again the eternally sweetness of those words, and tell Him.
Tell Him outloud. It will result in the most wonderful release you have known.
