Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

You don't have to wait for the Lord, you know.
Some of the time, you can go ahead and do things on your own and the human
outcome will be the same. The difference is, no glory!
There are times when we can rush ahead of the Lord and get the thing we are
praying for. For example, many Christians operate this way in business or perhaps in
purchasing a home. Instead of waiting on the Lord, they follow the same procedure
the world does and think they have gotten the best thing that could be.
Of course there are times when we do things externally the same way as the world
but it is pretty rare if the Lord is really allowed to be in control. This is one of the
foremost problems with Christian counseling today. Instead of the Cross, there is a
plan that progresses in a timely fashion toward dissolving the source of discomfort.
Brothers and Sisters, pray, and He will do one of two things. He will have you
knocking on doors to see what opens, or you must simply wait until you see Him.
     Nothing else will do.
Nothing else will explode with His Glory.
