Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

In times of grief it seems obvious we need comfort, and for the most part we
are able to turn to Him.
Perhaps we do this easily because the feelings of sorrow and grief are often
clean.
But when feelings are mingled with anger and guilt, it is not so easy. The flesh
fights hard to be independent and while the soul craves relief, it seems somehow
almost impossible to approach God and submit to His terms.
Like everything else, release is found in step-by-step obedience.
First, because of the Blood, we ". . . boldly approach the Throne of Grace. . ."
and He leads us from there. We need not know what we are going to say, nor do we
even need to know what we want.
We don't need to feel sweet and clean.
We just need to go to Him. His hand is outstretched and when we place ours in it,
He pulls us up into the Everlasting Arms.
