Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

The Holy Spirit is easily quenched.
At the same time, there are amazing measures of grace extended to the believer
who is simply doing the next thing as best he can, according to the Word of God.
Soldier, when we speak before others, we do not attempt to impart knowledge,
rather we acknowledge the reliability of the verse that says ". . . Open your mouth and
I will fill it. . ."
There is no excuse for the absence of the Holy Spirit - it simply means He was not
invited to be free.
Are you really a Soldier? Can He say what needs to be said, or are you concerned
about sounding prepared and knowledgeable?
The anointing of God and the self-satisfaction of a job well-done are mutually
exclusive.
Are you a pastor or teacher? Prepare your heart and be bold enough to avoid
preparing your message. It is fine to have a story or even an example, but it is not fine
to plan things out in order to guarantee a professional result.
     He is faithful.
And for the one who will stand with the mouth open, He will fill it!
