Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

The Lord never said "Let not your circumstances be troubled. . ."
But instead, He said "Let not your heart be troubled. . ."
Soldier, is your heart troubled today? If so, it means your circumstances have
infiltrated because you have been passive and have not taken hold of the provision
given you for the situation.
There is always a way of escape.
From the situation? No. Of course not. But He has said there is a way of escape
from the temptation that is common to man, and one of the common temptations is
to let the heart be troubled either through sin or worry. And if this aging grandmother
can add an editorial note, worry is one of the most lethal forms of sin.
The Blood was shed so that we would not have to endure many of the things we
taste daily - due to our refusal to step forward and put our weight down on His Word.
I want to move into all the room He has opened up for me. I desperately want to
know Him. That means I am willing to take Him at His Word.
What He want is for my life to reflect what He has said - not what seems to be
obviously going on. When I offer my body and my faculties as a Living Sacrifice,
Then He will show Himself strong.
With my last breath, I will wait for the Lord!
